Hi

I have a Sensation that is currently running a CM9 rom, but that I need to downgrade to a gingerbread build (for specific reasons I won't bore you with, just please don't reply with "why do you want GB, JB is much better etc, etc," I know, but I need Gingerbread specifically for my purposes).

The first thing I tried was just flashing CM7 using TWRP recovery, but it bootlooped. I'm assuming this is because I'm on an ICS baseband/bootloader?? Is that the problem? I wanted to try with some other GB based rom that you can just flash via recovery but since nobody uses GB roms anymore all I find are dead links :( Can anyone link some other GB roms I could try to flash?

The alternative, as I was reading here here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1672425 seems to be flashing a full RUU firmware to go back to stock (I have S-OFF so I should be able to downgrade right?) I managed to extract the following info:

version-main: 3.32.401.3
cid: HTC__405
region: HTC-ITA
S-OFF

However I really don't understand how to find a specific Gingerbread firmware that will work on those specs, can anyone help me out? All I find are ICS RUUs and dead links!! :(:(

Any hint is appreciated, this is driving me insane...

Thanks in advance

in case you don't want to use a ruu.exe go to this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
download 1.17 firmware from second post(gingerbread firmware)
follow the instructions to the letter
and before flashing check md5 sums(important)
after downgrading the firmware your current rom won't boot(that's normal)
then flash this rom from recovery
http://www.4shared.com/zip/NVqsJkGIba/2084011_stock_rooted_signed-FI.html (gb rom)
done

in case you want to use ruu.exe
since you are on S-OFF you can use any ruu.exe you want(including gb ruu.exe too)
if you want the one for your region use this
http://fileom.com/do5kl0qobuv7/RUU_...0.14.9035.01_M_release_223042_signed.exe.html
done
