[Q] I want to go back to stock Android 2.2 without root. How?

Hi guys, I want to go back to Default Stock Android 2.2 ROM [HTC Sense] because I am selling this phone tomorrow. I currently have CM7.1 installed. How to go back in a safe way?

And if it gives an error make sure you have a goldcard inserted

I have the same problem as asifisbest. I want to sell my phone but I rooted it and installed a different ROM. I tried your suggestion, but the best I got so far was it loading the "recovery" but all I see on the phone is the HTC logo and after a while the RUU quits saying that there is an error. But sometimes it doesn't even find the phone and gives me a USB connection error, although adb sees the phone just fine. I have no idea what I'm doing and your help would be greatly appreciated.

I got it working. I feel so silly, it was that the drivers were not properly installed. I heard Windows play the sound when it can't install the driver while the phone rebooted into "Recovery mode". So I opened device manager and had it search for one and presto it found the correct driver. Ran the RUU again and it worked like a charm!

Now, let's try to sell this phone!
