Does anyone know if the headphone jack from the Captivate i897 is compatible with the Captivate i896? I have an i896 and the headphone jack is only giving me sound in one ear. I want to replace the jack but I can only find replacement parts for the i897. I assume the i897 part is compatible but wanted to be sure.
Also, it seems like the majority of headphone jack replacements come with the external speaker attached via a ribbon cable. My external speaker works fine and I would rather not replace that as well. Should I be able to separate the external speaker relatively easily (and attach my current speaker as well)?
