Hey, I know this may be a stupid question, but are there any ICS features that can be ported over to Gingerbread or that have already been ported? Like, transitions, music controls in notifications menu, and my favorite one which is the expandable notifications like the Galaxy nexus has. I know that Dark Knight V8 has the music controls in the notifications menu. But one of my favorite things was the expandable notifications in the statusbar. Thanks

Yeah the swipe to remove notifications is pretty awesome hahaha. By expandable notifications Im talking about how for example, If I have a bunch of new emails, I can pull open the notifications menu and pinch out to show previews of all my new emails, and then I can pinch in and it will just shoe the notification of new emails, not any previews, if that makes any sense

Well, just do you guys know. I've got an ics Rom ready for the blaze. I just need to get the kernel and input patches right to make it all work and be compatible. Bringing ics over, would mean most if not all the bells and whistles will come with it...

Made my day! I'm thankful you took this hard initiative :) Samsung has been a bit annoying lately.

Dude, you have no idea how amazing an ICS ROM would be. Seriously, that would be like a gift from God himself if we got ICS. On top of that, it would be the greatest "F*** you" to T-Mobile and Samsung. You should talk to Erik, im sure he would be willing to help compile an ICS kernel. I would love to help, but im only just learning the basics of creating an app, so I probably wouldnt be of any help

I'll admit I dont claim to know anything about Android development (though I'd REALLY love to learn) but I am an I.T. guy with minimal knowledge about the internal workings of Unix based systems. Screen size shouldn't be a problem (possibly drivers), but the camera has been giving devs problems all over. Is this what you're basing the Blaze port on?

If you need a tester, I'm all over it. Not afraid to softbrick my phone, I can odin back :p

He's trying to build gummy ics rom from source and modifying the current 2.35.6.11+ kernel(merwins I believe) to work with ics
