Hi, I've successfully rooted my defy+ and I am now on CM7.2 nightly. Is the ICS Rom for the defy compatible with defy+?
Oh Yeah!!! Thanks for the info! JUst upgraded to CM9 And it is working!!!Yes it is![]()
I'm using the ICS Rom for defy here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353003Which one have you used, mate? And have you come across problems (battery charging)?
And... Can you explain to me why is ICS such a huge hit?I kinda don't get it... Is it that much better looking than GB? Anything else, anything more?
I guess I really have to check it outI'm using the ICS Rom for defy here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353003
So far i didn't came into any problem. The battery is working fine, charge up to 100%. Except for the Microphone(for apps) and Camera.
ICS is the latest android version, Which I Think only Nexus S2 has it. (correct me if I'm wrong). In terms of looks, It is AMAZING! User interface is also very good. In my opinion, my phone now runs faster than my stock android 2.3.6 as i now have more free RAM.
So how is cm 7.2 nightly?? Stable? force closes?Oh Yeah!!! Thanks for the info! JUst upgraded to CM9 And it is working!!!![]()
For me, I think its stable, it didn't force close. I can restored my apps using titanium backup in cm7.2So how is cm 7.2 nightly?? Stable? force closes?
if i backup my apps via titanium backup then i can restore in cm7 right? i hate to download everything from the market again![]()
I hope it will be stable soon, and fix the camera and Mic...i think you meant galaxy nexusbut afaik the nexus s has it too. anyways, the ics is a significant milestone in android history, kinda like android 2.0. redesigned UI (with the beautiful holo theme), a bunch of new features. for example: native hardware accelerated UI (the gpu renders the effects and animations, and this makes them much smoother), native multi-core cpu support, and loads of other stuff. of course, with our locked bootloader, we only have some of these features, since were stuck on froyo/gb kernel. but its definitely worth a try, even in this unstable/alpha version
