[Q] ICS rom for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 [SHW-M180S] from korea

I bought Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 [SHW-M180S] from korea... I'm looking for an advice, guidance and even tutorials on how am I going transform this into ICS...

but before that I just got one big question...

Is there a huge difference with all the galaxy tabs according to specific region in terms of hardware and firmware? ex:

SHW-M180S (Korea)
GT-P1000L/N (Latin America)
GT-P1000R (Canada)

I've seen so many flash rom tutorials via online pertaining to Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 GT-P1000 can I applied this tutorials on my SHW-M180S (Korea)?

its a galaxy tab 7.0 SHW-M180S with a ICS 4.0.3 Beta2 Rom from CM9?????

so meaning, all i have to do was to look for CM9 instruction for my galaxy tab and its doesn't care whether its from korea or other variants? please enlighten me...

..ive tried the cyanomod9 stg7 in my samsung tab m180s..it runs good but the thing is the wifi and bluetooth does not work..what do you think ive done wrong?..so ijust tried flashing it again to its custom firmware..help kindly appreciated..thankz..

..:cyclops::cyclops:..ive tried to uninstall cyanogenmod9 but itb just get worst my tab went through a softbrick state but yeah man ive overcome it installing custom rom again..its little tricky for a noob like me but it all goes well..well i know have:

AOKPSTG ICS
SHW M180S
4.0.4 ICS
MOD VERSION:ICS_M180S_STABLE_2.0

..AS OF KNOW ALL IS doing well,unlike cyanogenmod9 bluetooth wifi camera videos all works well..TNX FOR THE DEVELOPER AOKP STG7 and the groups behind it..

Alredy did, but I can't find the info, the google translator for korean in very bad.

Does any one know if this is possible in the SHW-M180S?

Here is the ICS for your model , i am using it for months i don't have any issue . the only issue is sms capability. but i don't use sim so it works for me .

You did this procedure and The TAB locked.

Wow, I didn't tryed it yet, but now I'm affraid To do it.

I'm not an expert so I dont even dare to sugget you nothig. You have to ask the user who reply me the procedure.

Oh, realy apreciate your links here. I have to decide wich one to flash. As I don't use any SIM card ont the TAB I don't need the SMS capability, so for me it's ok.

Can you recomend me wich one to flash?

You need to flash 4.0.4 first so that you can start all wipe in recovery mode, after you wipe, let the tab finish the setup for ics, after you can check the ics, then you can proceed flashing the Jellybean firmware.

So, correct me if I'm wrong:

- First flash 4.0.4

- When flashing finish, go in to recovery and wipe data/cache

- Then, start normaly and let it setup ICS

- And if evrything goes well, now I can flash JB


Is that correct? Any extra apreciation?

Helo hello,


Well, finaly I did the flash uprade to ICS AOPK 4.0.4. And, as luther777 mentioned, it get stuk for hours in the AOKP logo.

I started to panic but with a spark of faith in that it will work fine. So after 4 hours waiting and trying to enter the recovery mode, finaly I managed to open the CWM recovery menu. Did a wipe cache/data two or three times and also formated every thing. And after that, rebooted and leave it all night booting.

The next morning the TAB was asking for the initial setup!! Finaly!!!

So now I'm very happy and looking forward to upgrade it this week to JellyBean 4.1.2.
