Bump on thisIs there any chance to port instant boot like (Desire HD)?
Congratulations on bumping a 2 year old thread, you've topped the previous record for this section. I don't think we'll ever get an instant boot on the wildfire. Its just too much loading to do for a 528mhz (at stock speeds) CPU.Bump on this
Well,Congratulations on bumping a 2 year old thread, you've topped the previous record for this section. I don't think we'll ever get an instant boot on the wildfire. Its just too much loading to do for a 528mhz (at stock speeds) CPU.
It'd be a nice thing to have, but I don't think anyone will be developing it anytime soon.Well,
Considering the Wildfire S has it, also blackberry s have it.
I know this isn't a blackberry forum or w/e but the speeds are the same and all it seems in reality is saving the settings from the previous use.
And I think this is an important subject as our phone is probably going to die soon and if we can squeeze all the potential out of it when everybody cared, then maybe one day the wildfire wont be looked up on as a crappy old phone that didn't do anything amazing, if people looked at it as an amazing phone that's full of potential and everybody loves then that is when i would stop these "2 year old bumps".
Can't we just rip out the code from the WFS? or is it encryptedThe thing about it, is that pretty much most implementations are closed sourced, especially the HTC Sense version of it.
The one fully (more or less) GB Sense ROM we have, doesn't have "fast boot" (as HTC is calling it).
You could try, but where would you even begin? Can't we just rip out the code from the WFS? or is it encrypted
Perhaps checking through hundreds upon hundreds of smali code, to see if anything relevant it there?Ok so let's thinkgiven that it is closed source what programs will we need to look at the code? And where should we start?

Java Reverse Engineering?
Holding HTC devs at gunpoint?
