Congratulations on bumping a 2 year old thread, you've topped the previous record for this section. I don't think we'll ever get an instant boot on the wildfire. Its just too much loading to do for a 528mhz (at stock speeds) CPU.
Well,
Considering the Wildfire S has it, also blackberry s have it.
I know this isn't a blackberry forum or w/e but the speeds are the same and all it seems in reality is saving the settings from the previous use.
And I think this is an important subject as our phone is probably going to die soon and if we can squeeze all the potential out of it when everybody cared, then maybe one day the wildfire wont be looked up on as a crappy old phone that didn't do anything amazing, if people looked at it as an amazing phone that's full of potential and everybody loves then that is when i would stop these "2 year old bumps".

It'd be a nice thing to have, but I don't think anyone will be developing it anytime soon.

The thing about it, is that pretty much most implementations are closed sourced, especially the HTC Sense version of it.
The one fully (more or less) GB Sense ROM we have, doesn't have "fast boot" (as HTC is calling it).

Can't we just rip out the code from the WFS? or is it encrypted

Ok so let's think  given that it is closed source what programs will we need to look at the code? And where should we start?
