[Q] iphone hotspot

Hello,

I want to know if somebody here tried to connect iPhone's hot spot to a android unit and it worked.
The threads with solutions here on xda are old, and don't function anymore.
I tried to change the wpa_supplicant file from another android distributions countless times but nothing worked, just "not in range" even if is just in front of the unit.
tried editing the wpa_supplicant.conf nothing works, i'm going crazy here.

I have a jailbroke iphone 5s with tetherme installed from cydia, I can connect my KGL unit to the wifi hotspot just like any other WiFi. It does not connect via USB.
