[Q] Is anyone looking into porting the international One X roms to the XL??

I know, sounds like a complete noob question....

but seriously, I'm coming from an Inspire 4G/Desire HD, where roms were able to be used on like 10 devices.

Is anyone looking into getting ROM's ported to the One XL from the tegra 3 One X?? Seems like it would be an awesome way to get our (slowly moving) dev section going. I love what we have done, there just isn't much going yet. I would love to get into this myself, but my ROM building experience is still very low.

Until we get kernel source we're on hold. Besides the tegra vs krait differences there are different radios to contend with.

is it HTC's policy to release kernel source after 30days?

...and even with kernel source, we'll still need S-OFF (complete nand) access, and from what i've gathered that could be awhile

There's another thread floating around that quotes an HTC rep saying 90-120 days.

We don't need s-off. Look at the dev section on the international hox. They don't have s-off. Plenty of roms without it.
