I got it to install like yours and I see the slot to make a second virtual ROM... I might mess with it on another s3 mini... It looks like it might work well.
So I looked through a file that safeatap installed at /init.qcom.early_boot.sh and there are a couple things mentioning dpi. I haven't changed any of the values yet because I couldn't get the doner mini to get this to work. (Reboots and lights on boot screen but freezes and restarts a bunch till Android loads.) I'm going to keep messing bro.

I compared that file to my other s3 mini that doesnt have safestrap installed and the files were exactly the same. So i looked through all the files in /etc/safestrap and there was nothing about dpi so idk were to check for the dpi.

What if we use a older version of the apk? I saw version 3.60 and it looked like the recovery was layed out differently... Baed off the apk title, we are using the version intended for the s4

We should try installing safestrap from a device with a lower screen resolution like the droid 3 and see if we can see more of the buttons

But im not going to try because my s3 wont connect to my computer so i would have no way to unbrick it if it gets bricked

Well, I have this spare mini but it has jellybean and it won't update to kitkat... I can't get it to load the recovery for some reason but I guess I'll eventually try that on the mini that works with safestrap. But I don't want to brick it because it has all my crap and I still use it for a phone because the size.

I forgot I deleted kies to try to make more storage as much as I could on that one mini. On the other hand, I put the droid 3 safestrap on and it didn't reboot into it and went straight to Android :( But at least it didn't screw up the phone. I think that it has to be safestrap for Samsung phones to work... I'll keep trying them out but it also might not work right because the test dummy mini is still on jellybean :S lol.

So i did some research and it turns out we might be able to use an app called flashfire it lets you flash stuff without a recovery
I had that and it needs super su to work. I tried flashify and the recovery gets that unauthorized software message @ bootloader. There's a way to boot back to Android with it giving that message if your recovery is blocked.

I tried flashing the stock rom (thats probably why it didnt work)
I tried twrp From flashify and mine is stuck booting into recovery... I gotta look at what i did last time when it was giving me that unauthorized message because mine is pooped out. Maybe you can try flashing a ftf. file from odin since there is a thing odin mode on the mini. When i messed up my acro s and bricked, i just reflashed the ftf, put on a root, installed cwm and i was good :) (Of corse the bootloader was unlocked).

And the weird thing is when it freezes on booting to recovery, It disorts and the black where it says Samsung galaxy s3 mini turns green and some lines go across it sideways. Then it turns purple?

I just got past it (Vol down + Home) then restart. The Odin mode thing can be accessed after doing that but instead of restarting, putting vol up for "installing custom OS" and it will go into Odin mode.

Are you even getting the Samsung logo when you turn it on?
On the downside, i dropped one of my minis yesterday (the one i use on a daily basis) so i took off that screen and put it on the dummy mini instead... I believe i can use and control it with usb debugging over the pc.
Is yours not doing anything? Like maybe its the kernel or something...
