[Q] Is it worth to buy a Samsung i9003 right now?

I have been saving some money to buy a new android phone and right now I can buy a Samsung I9003, is it worth to buy? A friend told me to ask here, so i hope your help .

I would be using it to play games and I know that that phone cant afford good graphics but i dont care, I just wanna know if it is stable and if it will be useful in these times.

In a word - no.there are more disadvantages than advantages in buying this device.but I will list a few -
1. Phased out device.
2.official Samsung support stopped at ginger bread.
3.no official cm/miui support
4.the main- lots of device at the same/lower price with preloaded jb or Atleast ics.
This is a gone and done device my friend.
Advantages-
1.a few very dedicated devs.
2.some very beautiful gb themes.
3.ginger bread had been thoroughly utilised to it's best.
4.cm9/10 ports.
Frankly,I got this device before I knew what xda/android really is .

If development doesnt really concern you at all. Well its kinda fine. Gaming is good in GB roms. We got many perfect GB roms here. ICS, JB is also good. But again, there are many devices with its price range that is better. Lol for me i like the looks of SL.

just buy a newer phone with official ics or jb
i9003 is still AED 1299 (355 USD) here at my area, there are better phones out there on that price

Go for galaxy s duos. It has ics n jb is coming very soon.

I also say no. If you want galaxy s, i prefer galaxy s advance. it's much better and i think it has dual core processor.

Looks like the S3.
Adreno 200 GPU, that means good for gaming.
Qualcomm chipset, means more support from developers.

Hey look i must say that i play shadowgun and nfs without problems, but in a galaxy s 9100 its much better and you dont have to root it or break your brain thinking how to install gameloft games etc etc.

there are several developers, all greats at their hobby of develope, and actually you can run android 4.1.2 in this galaxy sl i9003, and its smooth, stable and works perfectly, but maybe its a little bit late to buy this phone, samsung doesnt support beyond GB 2.3.6, so ...you know.
