Do we have this SIM cards restrictions/regional lock like with Note 3?

Do we have KNOX thing? How check do my phone have it? Mine is i9295, without branding, I went to Download Mode phone shows this:

SYSTEM STATUS: Official
CSB-CONFIG.LSB - 0x30
WRITE PROTECTION: Enable - is this KNOX?
eMMC BURST MODE: enabled

Sorry, i know that those questions are on XDA somewhere but search function shows so much answers from different phones and its hard to read it all with bad eyesight and screen-reader. Are there any guides for Samsung phones for former iPhone users? I had Sony k550i and i was modifying it a lot, my iPhone is jailbroken too, but im total noob in Android stuff. Is rooting is reversible like jailbreaking? On iPhone i just unjailbroked it, used warranty and they didnt noticed anything, because it was hardware fault they replaced it for new one. Is on software any traces of root even after unroot, factory reset or firmware wipe?

This phone is great, love this big LCD, customization, removable battery its sad that its not popular and has bad opinions. Its hard to find silicon 100% transparent case. But i cant stand AMOLED screen, its irritates my eyes, thats why Active is my choice.

Yes the Galaxy S4 Active (all variants) use Knox for the kernel protection as I understand it. Can't speak of the SIM region locks at this time as I've got the AT&T US model (I537) and I have no intentions of going international anytime soon (read: ever). I unlocked mine for use with T-Mobile and haven't had any issues so far myself.

If you do most anything to the Active Samsung has ways of detecting it. I just got home from trying to have a Samsung rep at Best Buy restore mine to the most current official ROM build for the I537 (which is MF3) and because either a) mine has been rooted in the past but isn't rooted at this moment or b) because mine is carrier unlocked or c) a combination of both a and b I'm unable to get it flashed back to MF3 which was the OTA update to MF2 (what this phone had on it when I got it). The Samsung flashing software could see my device and detected the specific ROM build but called it "not compatible" and refused to do the MF3 flash so that's that.

There's not nearly as much info or development for the GS4A as the GS4, but what info there is you'll find here in this subforum just for the GS4A.

It's a great device, but the locked bootloader is cramping it and keeping it from really taking off, and it's waning popularity in stores and low sales are definitely something that the carriers are taking note of (especially AT&T who may stop selling it before the end of the year from what I've read rumors of).

As for a Samsung "guide" for iPhone users, well, it's basically Android even with Touchwiz (Samsung's craptastic UI they force on their device owners) so any old guide for Android should prove useful. The GS4A user guide is a good place to start.

If you want something a lot more comprehensive there's a magazine on the newsstands right now that I would recommend if you want "hard copy" to work with:

Just came out (that is a picture of Volume 2 - Volume 1 came out in late 2012 and has a different cover so make sure you get the right one as pictured above) like a month ago so it's pretty much as up-to-date as anything else can be. Runs about $15-20 at most bookstores or online, and there's a PDF version available as an eBook too from Amazon iirc.

Hope this helps...

Is on 4.3 is KNOX Warranty Bit in Download Mode? Can somebody check it?

Another problem. I tried to root on 4.2.2, it was easy but i had problems to enter Custom Recovery. I made it finally but Triangle Away shows flash count 3. Tried to reset counter and it didn't worked. Then i read i need stock recovery. If i flash stock revovery can i reset flash counter to 0 if i need warrainty? Im asking because i read that Triangle Away can reduce flash counter 1 point. So it will only reduce it to 2? I need to say farewell to warranty?

How to check if I reseted flash counter to 0 with Triangle Away? I have all stock now, recovery too. I used factory reset. In "About Phone* all status info is official. It is my phone like from box? Are there any traces of root? I want to update to 4.4.2 when it comes to international version.

triangle away show you this info (probably you must be rooted), but if you are on knox firmware and root your phone you will void your warranty and knox security will be damaged. O course you can check if your phone is on knox firmware by entering download mode.

I still dont have knox in download mode. I know that knox warrainty bit is permanent and for now there's no fix for this

So flash counter that can be reset with Triangle Away goes 1 up when I install custom recovery. But when I only root without custom recovery it will be 0? Sorry for all those questions I cant find answer even in my native language forums.
