worked for me!
Thanks, guys. Just flashed 2.2 AOKP and it re-unlocked my AT&T GS2. After Task "kindly" indicated that Q&A was the place to look for the solution to this problem...I came here. The Galaxsim worked and I'm back in business.
Lots of people around here seem to be getting pretty snotty about telling others to read before posting. Dont' get me wrong--I hate it when people ask the same things over and over wthout reading. BUT a lot of people don't really know how to use the forums and they're here because they have a problem and want the answer spelled out. What can we do to help these people find their answer more quickly instead of just rudely telling them off?
Maybe we can give helpful advice like where to look for answers. Links are good--and there were some in this thread. Helpful comments like Task's that indicated this was a problem for the Q&A section and not his devel thread. Actually teach people how to use the forums instead of yelling at them to read and search motivates them instead of making them feel like they are surrounded by snobby techies.
I read the whole thread before trying anything. A few comments: First. If the thread had said [solved] in the title, and if the first post had actually had the answer edited in, then I would have been able to stop there, or at least be confident that I was going to have the solution...no need to post anytihng else. It wasn't until the third page that someone actually said, "I tried this andi t worked with my phone that was locked with JB 2.2." That was the confident and complete response that I finally felt I could trust.
I also sent a thank you over to Spocky. I encourage anyone else to send a few bucks over to him, as well as other developers from whom you are benefiting. You can't honestly tell me that it isn't worth it or that you don't have at least $2-5 to share with them for their efforts once in a while.
Good work to all those who work on this stuff and then make it available to others at no cost. I believe that the rest of us need to chip in a little bit, even if it's just small amounts--it adds up and keeps these guys going. Show them that you value their work. :good: :good: :good:
