I mistakenly formatted the data on my phone yesterday. Ended up spending the most of the day trying to get a ROM onto the SD card. Tried Slim, but the keyboard process kept failing, so I could enter any of the setup information. Moved over to Carbon, and after 5-6 installs and twice as many reboots I finally got it to stick and most things are working well now. However, saw the following message in TWRP several times when flashing the ROMs or GAPPS:

E:Unknown File System: 'datamedia'

Is this something I should worry about and if so, what can I do to correct it?

Thanks.

Razr HD Maxx, running Carbon 1.8

As far I can recall there isn't a "datamedia" folder, so it seems it's looking for "data/media" and that "/" was forgotten on the wiping/installing process of the ROM/GAPPS you're using, maybe it could be a TWRP bug also. If you want to wipe that folder you can do it by yourself, or try to update your TWRP to a fixed version.

All in all, I think it's nothing to be worried about.

I know this is half a year later.. but I just got this myself on TWRP 2.0 with Galaxy Tab 3 - a reboot fixed it... twrp bug.

I am having the same issue on Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082. When I try to backup my stock rom, after a while (almost about 930mb/3222mb) my phone stucks and restart and the home screen comes. Don't know whats happening.

Same Problem

Hi Haseebkhan,
Was just wondering if you managed to resolve the same issue... It's been eating my head off, and I have been searching all of XDA, and Google also trying to find a solution... But the same happens, when I try to backup, the phone boots into the Android system...
