I contacted Sony Mobile and they said your phone is not water-resistant if any of the flap covers is open. That means if you plug in your wired headset and drop your phone into water - it probably won't die, but Sony doesn't guarantee that anymore.
It's only waterresistant when all the covers are in place, which is fine to be honest - it's not meant to be used in the bathtub, just to protect your phone from accidents.
They will release a BT waterproof headphones for 60 pounds though, ~1 week after the phone itself.
