[Q] January MT4G and Rooting

Can anyone confirm having rooted their MT4G (bought this month) via "Visonary r11+ terminal emulator" method or "Visionary r14 one click root" method?

I just walked through both methods with an XDA member over the phone on his 2nd MT4G and neither method worked.
(His first phone is rooted though)
It still had S=on. And I've used the first method on 5 different phones, never had a problem
Went through the checklist with him and everything and we couldn't get it to work.

USB debugging on. Fast boot off. Root.sh and all that jazz.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

i just rooted mines 3 days ago and it worked

did u do the temproot method?

Why not just use gfree? You can use it for only S-OFF then flash your eng hboot and apply a temproot. It's a lot easier than any previous methods IMO, and seems less finicky to which devices it will work on.
