Is anyone working on (or desires to use) JoliCloud for Webtop? Why wouldn't Motorola work with Google on developing ChromeOS for Webtop?

It seems like a much better way to leverage limited processing power coupled with a full screen and keyboard.

Uh... because Google, afaik, hasn't released the source code for ChromeOS for anybody? And since the Atrix isn't a Google Experience Device, Google didn't have much to do with the development of it (unlike the Xoom)? Jeez, people, do your homework, especially since it's not like everybody hasn't asked questions like that before....

Next up, they don't offer source code, only binaries. They don't offer any binaries that will work in the environment we have. Hence, it ain't gonna work.

Mods, please move this out of Development, since it's not.

@ OP - with 176 posts, you should know better than to post this in development.... You must've forgotten the forum rules too....

My personal opinion. I'm super glad moto didn't put chromeOS on the webtopp. I'm very much happier with a full OS, local file browsing, android view, being able to send commands to android, etc.

Joli Cloud isn't far off from ubuntu just with an html5 interface. I suppose this type of interface could be dropped onto the current webtopp with some work.
