What I usually do when I want to get rid of the status bar is use GestureControlthanks alot mate, i completely get what your saying about the differences between ios and android
for the status bar tho.. still cant see how to make it disappear, i thought the "show the status bar toggle in the power menu" would of done the trick, but it doesnt seem to do anything?
i will definately be visiting the themes and apps section as soon as i get the chance. this is the main reason why i chose the xoom over anything else, such as ipad, apple is too restricted, u have to do it all apples way with pretty much no customisation at all

Crazy huh? Try the app Wallpaper Wizardrii, it might help.i found an app that can do it, but it acts as a live wallpaper, therefore it lags :?
found another one which comes under the category of a live wallpaper, however it makes the image static, and totally lag free![]()
I'm so glad you are having fun...it's such a great tablet.absolutely loving my xoom now![]()
I like Plume. This thread was painful to read, however. If you don't need all the screens or you want to hide applications in your application tray install APEX Launcher because it's in my opinion the best launcher for Ice Cream Sandwich.
I too got a XOOM recently an immediately rooted it and now I have everything working the way I want. The only thing I need now is a good Twitter application.
I found Plume to be extremely messy.I like Plume.
So do I. I don't think I could use an app without user colours now, and the tablet layout is pretty nice.I like Plume.
