have a Note 3 [N900A] . I have no problem rooting, and getting SafeStrap on it...yet..everytime I flash a ROM I get softbricked.....I can use the ODIN guide to go back to NC2....root it, get safestrap on it, flash a room and get another softbrick.......so...what is going on here?

well that's what I did...wiping: data, cache, and dalvik.....ROM that did not work are: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-t2891226 , http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-cmremix-rom-lollipop-v1-0-t2959244 ...both of which are told to me that works with N900A (hlte)...
don't use safestrap as in there's another recovery tool we can use??? i know how to fix it when it happens...trying to get to why...
I don't think either of these will work on AT&T note 3...

The first rom lists these models as supported N900A is not one of them:
the ROM should Support the following Note 3 Models (you must flash the Kernel ur self separately) :

N900S N900K N900L
N9005 N9006 N9007
N9008 N9008V N9008S
N900P N900V N900T
The second is based on a CM build which we can't flash (locked bootloader)
Contributors
ZION959
ROM OS Version: 5.0.x Lollipop
ROM Kernel: Linux 3.4.x
ROM Firmware Required: CM-12.0
Based On: AOSP, AOKP, CyanogenMod,PA,SLIM,OMNI
I'm not familiar with ported roms so I could be missing something...they only one I've flashed is Tweaked maybe give that a shot?

Also, with safestrap it's fine to wipe system as long as you flash a ROM before rebooting otherwise you softbrick since there's no OS installed...safestrap isn't 100% reliable though so you probably shouldn't wipe system unless the instructions for the rom or the dev says to

Yea basically stay away from roms that say you need to flash a kernel...since the AT&T bootloader is locked the only kernels we can flash are the official AT&T kernels :(
