Hi,

Please help me with this problem. (I'm a completely newbie on this :()
I tried to root with Root many android utility and several times it didn`t work. At some point in one of the restarts, the kindle started updating and then it booted to a black screen where there's not a menu or status bar and nothing can be done. Any time I try to do something, it shows the screen to connect to amazon account but as I haven't and can't configure wifi connection, I can't do anything.
So basically, the kindle starts but nothing can be done and the menu and status bar are not present

I've tried to re run the utility but when there's time to appear the restore screen on my kindl, nothing happens and the utility gets waiting forever as it states.

Anyone knows and can help me to fix the kindle???

Thanks!!!

Ugh. It sounds like you were getting an update at you were working on it. Can you reboot into TWRP?

An update in December took away my root, so I had to re-root (and disable OTA updates).

I saw a post about getting around login. I could not find it right now, but here's a tip I did find:

From password page, Hitting home key, then trying again, will bypass password page.

Does holding the power down for 20 seconds and then power on normally help.

If you press the power button 6 times in quick secession does it restore your kindle to factory?

Does it still mount as a device/drive when you connect it to your PC?

Can you connect it to your PC and type adb devices in a command prompt? Does it list a device?
