Hi
I just installed KitKat using TWRP BigPart and the Omni XXXStingray ROM. It took a little bit of time to understand the process, re-install the apps and get it back up to speed. Now it is working really, really well. My questions is: How to I prevent Motorola from pushing an "software upgrade"? For the time being I want to keep it just the way it is.

Thanks for any help.
John

you don't have to do anything, there aren't any updates, there won't be any and it's not connected to motorolas servers

Great, One less thing to worry about.

When they updated to JB they just pushed it over WiFi (stingray with no sim card, but I did register with Motorola). I am not sure they even gave the option of opt'ing out. I wanted to make sure that would not happen again now that KitKat is working so well.

Thanks

Being as this isn't an official rom, and that KitKat is a more recent build than Jelly Bean, you're safe. Moto has discontinued official development on all Zooms, so no worries.
