Hy guys.
running vegacomb 8.1 ATM moment and all has been wicked but just recently there has been a delay when minimising things like the web browser or email, when I hit minimise it goes but the 'desktop is left blank for about a second where before it was inwtantly filled with my apps etc. Also I have the browser short cut and that takes even longer to come back to life.
what could have changed this? What can I run on my Vega to see what might be slowing it down?

Will upgrade to 9 once all the bugs are fixed so if no one can help its not the end of the world.
cheers

I have noticed this "home" lag since vegacomb build 5, it is still there with build 9. Hopefully will be fixed in future updates. Build 9 is working great for me, the lag in the browser shortcut widget reloading is faster than 8.1.

Peace.

I noticed the same issues. however i use Adnroid assist and disabled some of the apps and services I had ( Mobile network service which i dont use ) .

Then i excluded some of the processes I wanted to run and used the widget to clean up after running some apps occasisonaly. I have noticed it works smoothly now.

I have seen the same issue on Asus Transformer which I had before and I was gutted because it had 1GB RAM and I was expecting it performs better. Maybe it is OS related

No worries , let me know if you need more info on this.

I am hoping for a kernal with reduced GPU RAM which gives us more RAM for most usage. It is useful for people who are not big on high graphic gaming on their Vegas.

After you have installed it you can go through the startup manager section and disable some user and systems services which you "know" is not useful always. Make sure you dont disable services which you are unsure .

under the process section , if you long press on certain processes it will open a list of options, You can ignore those system and critical processes and close the rest.

Remember some of the system/app processes will restart again if you close them, so better leave those running. After you have a go at it for few mins you get to know whats the best way you can take the options to your advantage :)

Then you can use the widget to close processes that are not required.
