Help if you can, please...
I'm running [ROM] AT&T 4.5.91 Gingerbread 2.3.4 Beta #4 on AT&T. I have had zero problems with this rom and I doubt if this problem is a result of this great work.
Saturday night I went to bed with everything running perfectly. Woke up Sunday morning to the phone throwing up the request to give Super User rights to some programs. Hit the email icon and the "Set up a new email account" came up. Weird. Why have I lost my email settings? I start setting up a new exchange account and when I finish entering the information it is rejected because "That account already exists."
Huh? I go to the Accounts page to check the Exchange account but it is not there. I can't delete the account because it is not there but I also can't add the account because it is supposedly already there.
I do a restore of system files from TB thinking this will fix it. It did return the email account to where I could open it, but then it didn't fetch mail. Forget it... I have to get ready for church so I install the ROM again and do a complete restore from backup.
Everything was working fine when I went to bed again last night... only to wake up this morning and be in exactly the same spot again. Programs asking for Super User rights and the Exchange account there but not there.
WHAT is happening??? I've been running beta 4 since it first came out with no problems so why would this start happening all of a sudden? I've not changed/added anything new.
Suggestions? Thoughts? I'm afraid to go to bed tonight.
PS No scheduled programs run at night for the two nights in question.
