I have a good app. Its a free educational app with almost 15,000 downloads and almost 5,000 active current installs. Its a shame that I can't update the app because I lost the keyfile i used to sign the app. What can I currently do in this situation?

Upload with new package name and add a link to the new package to the description.
There isn't anything you could do else: you won't ever be able to upload an update.

There is no way if you have lost the key. Next time email it to yourself, to have it forever.

Damn, I'm going to email myself my key right now, that would suck balls.
They should tell you this when creating a key! (I guess they probably do.. I tend to just fill in the blanks and press next...)
