This is my first post on this forums so don't be too hard on me, thank you.

So I have the AT&T Samsung Captivate (SGH-I897) running on Dark Knight 5.5 android 4.0.4 (My friend put this ROM on here for me but then he moved so I don't know how to remove it but whatever)

So my problem is that I don't have my notification bar anymore. Like the pull down one. I read on here that you can get that back by using the Dark Knight app that comes with the ROM. But here's my HUGE problem, when I found out that my bar wasn't showing up or anything I tried factory resetting my phone from the settings. (HUGE MISTAKE) Doing that, it deleted the Dark Knight App. So what I'm asking is if you have that app can you please upload it to mediafire or something and put the link on here so I can download it and install. IT WOULD MEAN THE WORLD TO ME, THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!

Pretty darn sure that "app" you're looking for is actually something in your settings menu. Perhaps ROM control or Dark Knight settings or some menu like that.

You may not need to go to those lengths. Take a look in the Development section for the Dark Knight thread. Find the version you have on your device and download that zip file (should be in the first post of the thread).

Once you have the zip file, just unzip it and look for the application. If you can't install it (which you likely won't be able to), just use a file explorer like root explorer to copy it to /system/app. Reboot and it should show up.

Post back if you have any questions.

I already tried that I looked everywhere for the app and nothing. Well nothing that was the same one. The one I'm looking for is the one with like the battery themes and stuff. Because when I changed battery themes thats what caused my notification bar to go away, so In a post I read it says restoring it back to stock will fix it.

@korockinout13

Yes I have ROM Control in it but it's not the same thing.

That's where all the battery mods are. If there is an app though, you could probably just reflash the ROM and gapps and you'd have it again. I'm still doubting that there's an app, because doing a factory reset would not delete a system app... I think

Yes you're right, they are there. But you can't download more themes from the settings part. And I'm needing the original settings. But the problem is that I've never flashed a ROM before(If I could I would but here's why I can't...) For me to enter mass storage I have to be able to pull down the notification bar but it's completely invisible so I can't. I can just connect it to my PC but it doesn't do anything.

Try going to recovery mode (hold V+/V- and power until it reboots, or from the power menu) and under "mounts and storage" do "mount USB storage".

That will give you access to your internal SD card to move a zip file to your phone.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT HELPED ME ON THIS THREAD. I actually found a way to do it, what I did was reinstall the SystemUI.apk onto the system/app place using root explorer. I found that app in Dark Knight rom folder I had downloaded. But thanks again everyone!!! Saved me from crying my eyes out haha. Thank you!
