Attach to computer usb. When hearing sound, wait 1 minute.

Do in adb : fastboot reboot-bootloader. Worked once for me..
When I am doing this it says :

C:\adb> fastboot reboot-bootloader
< waiting for device >

Note - but when I connect the phone to usb, a sound is coming just link laptop detected some device attched.

Thanks,

Do you have HTC USB drivers installed?

Does "fastboot devices", or "adb devices" show anything?

Yes Bro I have HTC SYNC and USB drivers installed. Able to see other phones.

While using this phone in adb it says "Waiting for devices"

MAhesh
just out of curiosity my mate had similar issue and his was due to flat battery. Did the phone have a good charge. His problem was resolved using a different lead and charger. I am not saying this is your problem but with the light coming on and going off worth a check.

Same issue with my M8

I have the same issue, I'm really feeling bad.

what I did is:
- I was on Viper one Latest.
- and wiped everything (unfortunately) except my External SD.
- and Installed latest Revolution ROM (9.1) which has a new firmware.
- after finishing installing, I click on Reboot (TWR). and the device never woke up.

any new idea?

Did you download the newest firmware manually before putting that Rom on? Have you tried pressing volume up and down and power for a while?

No. I didn't flash the new firmware ruu first
Yes. I did try the three buttons

Thanks for sharing ideas. And hope one day one of them works :)

I too am in this situation. The battery drained very rapidly and the phone switched off. It now just has a flashing orange LED when plugged in but won't switch on regardless of the button combinations I press and hold

some times the orange led glows and sometimes not....not able to understand what is this..??
Mahesh
According to HTC forum, here are the colors of the led

Solid green light when HTC One is connected to the power adapter or a computer and the battery is fully charged.
Flashing green light when you have a pending notification and the display is off.
Solid orange light when the battery is being charged.
Flashing orange light when the battery level reaches very low.

So your phones are not turning back on because of battery drained.

I'd suggest to get the phone charging with the original charger and cable for about 1-2h. Then check if the led went green. If so, try again to "hard reset" (Power + volume up for 1 minute) if this does not work, try to power + volume down.

Hopefully this works for you.

Thanks so much for the tip. But my phone won't turn on at all. I flashed updated firmware and as soon as I reboot my phone it never can't back on ever since. I tried all the different button combinations and still no luck. When I plug it into my computer it makes a ding sound and my led light flashes orange once then turns off. I tried holding down the Power and volume up, power and Down, power volume up and down, for a long time and it only makes the ding sound but doesn't power my phone on. If anyone could help pleeease I would be grateful.

having the same situation here
in my case, i fell down and i had my phone in my right hand, when i was falling down automatic reaction was to place my hand on the floor, but the phone was the one who took the hit
after that it had like 50% of charge and it went down pretty quickly. now, when i plug the phone to the wall charger with it ´s original htc adapter and cable, the orange light blinks for a few miinutes, after about 15 minutes it gives me the "this build is intended bla bla bla message and it goes into recovery
i have 3 roms saved in the internal memory, cyanogenmod, android revolution hd and maximus hd
i have tried to flash all of them but after the installation is successfull, and i hit reboot system now ( with battery level not going beyond 1%) it just showss the "this build" message with the battery icon and it goes back to recovery, like it didnt have enoght energy to load the OS....
ooo i am so sad...if there is a fix or a advise that can be provided please give me feedback...thanks
