Last week my Droid Incredible began to work more and more slowly. I attempted to reset it since it was working slowly (I believe because of the amount of data I had stored on the device). Although, as the phone began to load up it went into the infamous infinate boot loop. I have tried several things to get it to start up properly again. The biggest issue is that my mac doesn't recognize the device when connected via USB. So my question is, is there ANY way to have my phone start up normally without losing the data on my apps, photos, contacts, etc?

Whats your info?
Hboot version (locked or unlocked?)
Radio version
Android version
S-on or s-off

When you say reset it, you mean factory reset? From hboot or the settings menu in the os?

If you did a factory reset, your app data, apps, and contacts are already gone. A factory reset wipes these things. Your contacts should be backed up to google though and will restore when you fix the phone and log into google. Photos should be stored on the sdcard or emmc, which dosent get wiped unless you specificly choose to do so.

The possible fix depends on your info. Also does the phone vibrate more than once when booting?

Try running this ruu thru hboot http://dinc.does-it.net/Stock_Images/4.08.605.15/PB31IMG.zip. Download the file place it on yoir sdcard in no folders named exactly PB31IMG.zip. Then boot to hboot (with phone off hold vol down and power till a white screen appears, hboot). After a few secs hboot should automaticly find the file and prompt you to press vol up to install. When complete it will prompt to press vol up to reboot. Hopefully it will boot up normally. This will wipe the phone, but not the sd or emmc. If that does not work you will have to try to unlock the bootloader, which may be an issue if the computer cant see the phone.
