[Q] merging internal memories

hi all. i don't have this phone anymore, but my partner does. i've been playing around and trying new ICS and JB roms on it.
My question is, ICS+ uses one storage volume. this phone, originally gingerbread, uses 2. app storage and internal "sd card"
is there some way to merge the spaces into one volume like ICS now does?
if not, how do these new ICS and JB roms handle memory on this device?

Let me see the voldfstab file from the phone and I will see how to make the external storage the internal like I did for the s2

Yea that one doesn't work for the ICS and jb ROMs so cam fixed it
