I successfully rooted my Q Mobile NOIR A8
This phone has similar specs to STAR N9770 DUAL CORE MT6577 and LENOVO A789 Chinese smart phones.

Note: Root at your own risk I am not responsible for any damages and if you root your device which is in under warranty your phones warranty will void.
How-To:
0.) Enable Debug mode from; Settings>Developer options> USB debugging [enable it]
1.) Download attached file.
2.) Extract it using 7zip
3.) Double click the RunMe.bat and follow instructions!
Before Root make sure you have installed ADB and other necessary drivers. use Flash tool for MT6577.
