Hard Bricks are not done deals and this why this forum gets slammed everywhere. Try helping senior member. So damn negative around here...unreal.
Uhhh.........that's why it's called a HARD brick...........because you cannot recover. If you are lucky you will get a replacement or repair through warranty. Sure, Motorola can fix it as far as we know, but the vast majority of folks posting also are out of warranty, or do not have insurance on their hardware.

A SOFT brick is a different matter, and herein is where the problem lies. People post hard brick conditions, then a slew of other people start posting solutions for soft bricks.

Also, the same threads are repeatedly created over and over because people are too lazy to do some research before posting. Nobody wants to be told they have a hard brick, but the reality is that hard bricks are a reality!

<edit> Where is the help you are providing? What is your solution for a hard brick???

Literally your set is Dead. It can't be brought back.

I'm interested to buy a hard brick set. I'd try my best to recover it (If I'm successful others will be benefitted too!)
If interested please PM me (including your IMEI)

download wont work

People on here shouldnt give up so easily, I have a solution for failed to boot brick.

Download moto-fastboot, and unzip to C:\moto-fastboot
DL here:http://www.android-advice.com/file-downloads.php?filename=Atrix_Root_Files

Download system image for 2.3.4 and unzip to moto-fastboot folder
DL here http://www.android-advice.com/file-downloads.php?filename=Atrix_Gingerbread_4591_ROM

Download atrix oem unlock and unzip to moto-fastboot folder
DL here:http://gititbit.ch/pub/unlock.zip

open cmd and navigate to C:\moto-fastboot\

Force fastboot on phone by holding down PWR and VOL UP while inserting battery.

Type these commands:

moto-fastboot oem unlock (it will show atrix ID re-enter with ID at end of line)

when finished, then enter these commands:

moto-fastboot flash boot boot.img

moto-fastboot flash system system.img

moto-fastboot -w

moto-fastboot reboot

When it reboots, you will be back to stock, fully restored!!

I then used Pete's Motorola Tools to root my atrix.
Info and DL here http://www.psouza4.com/Bionic/
yes it did work on my atrix make sure usb debugging is on and unknown sources checked.

I then installed CWM to my Atrix
DL here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1475444
unzip to moto-fastboot, put atrix in fastboot mode and open cmd, navigate to moto-fastboot folder and type this:

moto-fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Reboot and you are DONE!!!! All thats left is to find a ROM and you are good to go.

This download is not working

Hello sir. my atrix is bricked while using RSD .. it just shows the boot error and then blank display :( ..
I recently bought it for high cost.. it's not entering in fastboot mode aur rsd protocol mode..
i tried using nvflash recovery with factory repair cable.. but when i use any command .. Like "nvflash --sync" (the simplest) it shows :

Nvflash started
rcm version 0X4
Command send failed (usb write failed)
then pc disconnects it .. I have JTag it.. but still not going in fastboot aur any other flash mode. :/ :/ :/

plzzzzz I need helppp

Too much bickering going on here... I'm leaving this thread open so that you guys can hopefully fix your bricked devices but it will only remain open so long as the childish bickering stops. We do not need it here !! As this thread is old, a lot of links are down. Consider this a warning regarding the previous behavior within this thread .

Thanks for the more official and tactful way of trying to get things back on track. Comparing my last post to yours, yours is a bit more effective

fail to boot 0x1000

The phone shows fail to boot 0x1000 then shuts off
Things that dont work Holding the vol up and power while inserting the battery .. phone still shuts off
Rsd not detecting the phone because it turns off after the error comes up.
Recovery mode dont work , phones displays error then turns off.

What was notice though if you leave the battery in it drains it regardless of the fact that it turns off. However it would seem as if something is running with the lcd off because the battery does drain and also the only way to turn if back on is a battery pull. When you power on again you get the same error , hence you have to battery pull again.

By the way this is different from the other fail to boot 0x1000 that list the menu for you to choose from , that one is easily fixed by flashing over the rom. This one is not being detected by the PC which is why there seem to be no fix for it so far.
