However, there's a thread in the xoom development section where flashable zip-files are published for every eos nightly, you should be able to just flash that over your rom and thus enable texting.

Actually, I might try that some time, but right now I should really learn for that exam on friday:-/
Yes there is one thread that is very helpful! All you have to do is this.

Just download the rivendel.zip in the tread or attached at the bottom,
Copy it to SD card,
Enter recovery and backup the ROM first,
use "choose zip from sdcard",
pick the "rivendel.zip",
find the entry that says "yes",
Now flash the MOD and reboot.

They have a phone support too, it's just that the voice calling is not working quite right. They should be looking into it. It you read their thread anything more is there.

Just to let you know I'm using the ROM you recommended and I love it so far. As for the data service on the AT&T network it now works, after switching to the new ROM and it loaded the proper APN settings which were different from my phone. And of course with a new ROM the SD card now works as well. So my last and final question would be as stated before where can I find the oldest most up to date stock ROM?

Best regards, InternetImmortal

Sent from my MZ601 using XDA App on EOS

To answer your questions:
1) Yes I am Running EOS v38 (ICS 4.0.3) on my Xoom MZ601 from Singapore.
2) I currently only have two problems exchange server emails aren't connecting and I can't make any voice calls yet.
3) The ROM is running smoothly with no problems, I have even added more modifications to the custom ROM to achieve what I was wanting.
4) The micro SD card is working with no problems, the name for it in my system is "external1" not sd-card or sd-ext.
5) The face unlock also works with not issues.
6) As for speed, I am not having any issues with it thus far.
7) The 3G data service is currently only working with the custom ROM (EOS), the stock ROM's that I tried did not connect to the cellular network.
8) The thread you provided is the same one I used days ago and yes the .zip file does work.

In short if you follow whats in this thread and the links to the instructions and new files, you can get your Xoom setup with EOS v38 and add mods of your own. Also you should also update your stock ROM on your Xoom as far as you can. That way you can make a backup of the latest stock ROM. If you do can you let me know. I got busy with reading the threads and before I knew it I as on my custom ROM. Totally forgot to finish updating the stock ROM before switching over. Hope this helps you out.
