Have been following the development with CM10 and I'm aware we don't have HD video drivers in the kernel yet. Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried something like MX Player or another video app with any success on the ROM???

Really the only thing stopping me from putting the Rom on mine is the lack of video. So was wondering what kind of results everyone has had thus far.

Thanks in advance everyone.

if it doesn't use hw decoding, it's going to work.

If you want me to test anything let me know. I've got time and I'll do it. What kilo said is correct that, but I'm not sure how you find out what uses hardware decoding, so I'll go ahead and test things for now. The only thing I know is confirmed is that netflix will not work, and non-hd youtube DOES work.

If you get a chance to check the ES Manager player and MX Player that would be awesome. Most of the content I'm watching is x264
format. If you want to know source PM me as I don't think admins would appreciate discussion of quasi legal practices here.

Thanks for the heads up on that one. Gives me a lot to consider especially with amazon updating pretty frequently it appears..

Mx player works fine. Also, it has an option in settings to use software decoding.
