[Q] My phone gets locked in a black screen randomly

I tried the search function but wasn't really helpful.

My S2 is brand new, no root, no custom ROM.

It just updated to ICS, and now for some reason my screen doesn't turn on several times a day.

I leave it at the desk, with the screen turned off and when I com back and check it, it doesn't respond to any button.

I can call myself, it rings and everything, but I can't wake it up (or at least the screen stays off).

Any ideas?

One backup data and Factory Reset .
Two return to service centre or flash stock rom from XDA .

I would install without problem Cm7 if I knew the problem would go away.

If it's hardware related won't make too much sense

I've found some other forums with same problem, and it's weird that here on xda no one has it.

Not weird. Because it's been discussed to death here on xda. (pun intended)

It's known as the "sleep of death", and there are probably dozens of threads on the subject.

I had same problem when I first flashed a Dutch stock is rom. Try a siyah kernel that should cure the problem
