[Q] My phone keeps crashing.

First things first.
1) Running ViperRez 1.0.3
2) S-Off
3) 2.22 JPBear H-Boot I think
4) Global firmware
5) Sense 4 patch

Almost every time I try to listen to music or any kind of audio and my phone trys to sync anything it makes a really annoying loud beeping sound then resets. Sometime if I'm just using it normally it will freeze up, no loud beeping sound, but still reset after a few seconds. Has this happened to anyone else?

What do you mean by sense 4 patch? Ate you using the stock kernel that flashes with the rom? Is Sony xloud enabled in viper tweaks?

sounds like a kernel panic. can you pull a logcat and post it on here.

I'll try to get a logcat...yeah sony xloud is enabled does that affect the rom that much?

Edit: I'll post the log the next time it happens. I'm recording it right now and I know it will happen again.

That issue usually comes with not having the correct firmware and rom/kernel matching up.

Like if you get an email and the notification the phone dings, or you press something on the number pad and the noise sets off a reboot.

Please boot to hboot and post your radio version and hboot version so we can see if they match up.

Yeah I'm using cubed rezound ICS (SENSE 4) right now. It still freezes. And I used an app of th e market called catalog.

Try installing a kernel via hboot. You may have s-on somehow or not successfully s-off in the first place. If that don't work, try running global ruu again. Then install recovery, then flash viper Rom

How do u instal a kernel through hboot? Do u mean extract the boot image from the kernel zip and fastboot flash? Or just fastboot flas the zip?

The kernel I linked puts the ph98img.zip on your sd-card. Just reboot to hboot after flashing in recovery
