[Q] NC4 to NC2 and compatible ROMS

Hey guys, I have the Verizon Wireless Note 3 (bootloader locked) with an NC4 baseband and buildnumber. I have no idea what that means. I'm coming off of a GS4 I've had for the last year (bootloader unlocked) running CM 10/11/12. My first question is; is there anyway a locked boot Note 3 on Verizon can even run CM? I've seen some posts but I don't know if that's the dev. edition or not. My second question is; is there any benefit to altering my NC4? I see that most roms are working well on NC2 but not NC4, which is foreign to me coming from the S4. Do I need to flash the modem for NC2 via odin, or the kernel, or both? If anyone wants to reply on here or PM me with an idea that would be awesome. [I'm running a rooted 4.4.2 and Safestrap v3.75]
