[Q] need cell service to use iGO Primo GPS?

Flying from US to Ireland for vacation, with my unlocked Samsung Captivate / cyanogenmod 11 M7 and US AT&T SIM. iGO Primo is installed with Ireland maps. Will the GPS work from the get go, before I get to a Vodaphone store to buy a pay-as-you-go SIM card?

I don't know about the app but the GPS doesn't need data so imo it should work as long as you get satellite signal.
