My phone boots up to the black/red droid eye screen and then get stuck. After about 5 minutes or so it goes back to the HTC Brilliant screen and then gets stuck again at the eye.

Note: It doesn't ever go back to the HTC Incredible white screen... not sure if that tells you anything. I thought that was interesting because the white screen is where it seems a lot of peoples phones tend to get stuck.

This just started last night when my battery died. I went and got my charger and plugged it in and it wouldn't start. It's been doing this since. I haven't done anything to my phone recently. The details of my configuration are in my signature.

I tried it with and without being plugged in.
I tried it with and without the SD card.
I can get to recovery, but...
I DID NOT try resetting and reinstalling my rom because I don't want to lose all my stuff. I'm hoping someone out there has some nuggets of wisdom that can help me fix my problem without resorting that.

Dont have a "droid" but willing to try to help. Try this out,
- do a battery pull, charge completly
- boot into recovery wipe,dalvik cache,cache,& battery stats,then reboot

If that fails youll need to nand restore back to your last back up and go from there

Charging now... I'll let you know how it turns out

UPDATE: It didn't work. I guess I'll have to reset. Unless anyone else has any ideas..................................

I'd restore a backup or reflash the rom. Try reflashing it without wiping and see if that works.
I tried wiping the caches and what not and then reflashing but that didn't work. I'm gonna try a full reset but I'm a little worried that that won't work either. I really don't want to spend like 180-200 on a used one (swappa).
