Here we are, exactly one week later, and the phone failed in exactly the same way. So the "repair" process they applied did not work. I'll be returning it to the Rogers store today and will report back here with the results.I got my phone back today. On the report it says ...
Complaint
#1[]C56-no service
phone antenna cutting out intermittently
Symptom code C56
Work performed
[202]-Full sw upgrade & phone reset
;sw re-flashed then rebuild to factory default
Repair code 202
I'll see if it happens again or not over the next few days and report back. To me it sounds like they did nothing to the physical components of the phone, just flashed/installed/configured the various software components.

Okay, really sounds like a hardware-problem then..how often did you get the 'network-drops' this week? Here we are, exactly one week later, and the phone failed in exactly the same way. On my G4mini is also the LTE notification not showing..but my provider doesn't provides 4G yet i believe..next to that i'm using an old simcard (probably 3 years old)..could it be possible that older simcards don't support 4G ?I may have the solution to this problem of network drops now, finally. I took it back to the Rogers store where i bought it. This time there was a more knowledgeable guy there. He took one look at the screen and said "I know exactly what is the problem". What he noticed was that the LTE notification was not showing. This city is an LTE hot spot. The phone should connect with LTE virtually anywhere, anytime. He said it is not the phone at all, but that there is a "switch" that needs to be reset for my account; something to do with the SIM card. After a couple of phone calls he returned the phone and said that it is fixed.
Time will tell. I'll post again.
Sorry i cannot answer this question. Just reporting that the so-called knowledgeable guy was incorrect. Still dropping the networks. I went back and he was incorrect again as he believed that you had to have Mobile Data enabled to make/receive calls. Oh well, he was doing his best. Got thru today so far with no dropouts. Will see what happens overnight and tomorrow. On my G4mini is also the LTE notification not showing..but my provider doesn't provides 4G yet i believe..next to that i'm using an old simcard (probably 3 years old)..could it be possible that older simcards don't support 4G ?
When checking the phone-menu for network settings, i can only choose between GSM/WCDMA , or both..is that correct ?
Hi Mdawdy, it's exactly the same problem as i am experiencing. Also did send back the phone for reperation, but didn't help.Check out my thread here, especially the last post [#8] which is a summary to date of my experience with the same or a quite similar problem; let us know what you think ...

Did you tried to install another ROM or something like that to fix it ?
It would be really nice if someone with the knowledge could look deeper into this problem, i do not know where to start.
Also..it seems that this problem is not only on GS4Mini, but also on other Galaxie series..
I might have posted in your other thread.I answered this yesterday - looks like i forgot to press SubmitReply[unless you posted in my other thread?]
No one on any of the 5 forums that i have posted this on has any useful info. My impression is that my specific phone is the only one with this problem.

I have not rooted the phone or installed a custom ROM. I won't try that until the problem is fixed or the warranty runs out.
Where do you get the info that this problem exists on other phones? Can you please reference specific threads in specific forums?

I checked your first link. The posters there say that the problem was resolved by the updates to KK 4.4 and the update to the firmware. I have both of these updates. Neither solved the problem. When searching on Google for : Galaxy S4 Mini Network Issue, you get quiet a lot of results..
For example search this page fore 'network' : http://reviews.in.samsung.com/7463-en_in/GT-I9192ZWAINU/samsung-galaxy-s4-mini-reviews/reviews.htm
