[Q] New user - Best method to root?

Hi guys

I've just got my HTC one after having had Samsung phones for years.

What's the easiest/best method to achieve root and install a recovery? I'm interested in flashing custom ROMs.

If you're on hboot 1.44 the best method is revone tool to go s-off, unlock the bootloader and have the full access at the phone.
If not, you can use a toolkit like this or use a guide like this

a long winded process, I guess it will take some getting used on

On Samsung phones, its a 2 minute job!!

Because samsung give the phone with the bootloader unlocked and all user can use ODIN
