Hey Guys for any of you that are using a galaxy s2 At&t version that rooted and flashed to get nfc to work. Are any of you having issues reading nfc stickers? I know for a fact that my android beam is working because I used my s2 and my s3 together and worked perfectly. But the other day I got a sticker pack of NFC stickers from TagStand and for the life of me the phone will not pick them up. Any Ideas? Thanks In Advance!

What ROM are you running? Have you installed an app that can program the tags?

My current Rom is SHOstock3 v1.8.5 and yes I have tried mutiple tag writers including the tagstand app for writing them . But the others I have tried were Tagwriter, Samsung TecTile, NFC Task Launcher and Tagstand writer.

I had an issue with my phone when I first got my NFC tags from tagstand.
I couldn't get NFC Task Launcher to format the tags, it would time out when writting and then the NFC check box in settings would be greyed out and I'd have to uncheck it, leave settings, then go back it and re-enable NFC. What I ended up doing was writing a basic text tag using Tagwriter which formatted them then NFC Task Launcher was fine. Since your tags are from tagstand they aren't formatted so could be you are having a similar issue getting them to format. Since you have access to an S3 you could try formatting them on that then overwrite with the S2.

See when i am trying to write and TagWriter says hold a tag up to start writing. No matter what I do that thing does not want to pick it up it acts like I'm holding a sandwich up to it and thinks I expect it to read it. lol

I had this same problem on ShoStock3. It just would not recognize any nfc tags. One day, it just randomly started working again after I tried doing several things. I'm not exactly sure what I did, but it ended up working.

Try flashing 2.1. It worked perfectly for me even after a full wipe without any fiddling.
Thanks for the Info man I will try and let you know! I can't find the shostock 2.1 but googling 2.1 showed me a version 5.2 running ICS. Is this right?

I meant version 2.1 of shostock3. It's the latest version. Just check the thread in the development section.

Still No Luck I upgraded to 2.1 but the NFC still does not want to pick up the tags it seems weird be it that the andriod beam works! Thanks anyways man!

BUT I have new info I have the tags working on the S3 but they wont work on the S2 so It's for sure a reading issue on the S2 Should I try the JB Nfc enabler again?

Try using AJ's siyah kernel. I immediately flashed that over the kernel it comes with, so I'm not sure if that could be the reason.
Just Flashed the Siyah Kernel and still a NOGO I am out of Ideas myself. I am wondering if anybody else had this issue It's strange for sure.

You do have the originally battery that game with the phone right?
Do you happen to know anyone else with an i777 that you could borrow a battery from to try?
Also have you tried disabling and enabling the NFC toggle?

Sounds like it's something with your Rom then.
You could try doing a full wipe and reflashing it or swap to another rom that has confirmed functionality.
When you last flashed showstock3 did you do a full wipe first?
