[Q] no kernels for wifi only model?

looks like ppl who r using wifi only model failed to flash a kernel. does this mean wifi model cant have custom roms available ? ohno!

It's not failing to flash a kernal - please read. It's failing to boot after you flash an incorrect boot image.

Relax dude. I wouldn't say the wifi model xoom won't have custom kernels ever. Its just in order to create custom kernels for the wifi model xoom, the user has to be able to root it first to modify any changes if needed.

The problem right now is that when you flash the hacked boot.img (wifi+3g) to root your wifi xoom, people are having trouble rebooting the xoom which is soft bricking their xooms.

My kernel "should" work fine with wifi only Xoom. Be sure to back up your boot.img first.

The WiFi only has to get past rooting before worrying about kernels and ROMs that aren't even out yet.
