So you didn't successfully flash CWM... or you reflashed CWM recovery with stock recovery.EDIT: I successfully flashed CWM via Odin but when I entered recovery mode, I was taken to stock recovery. What could be the problem?

Try this :http://goo.im/devs/Darkman/Recoverys/Recovery-CWM-I8190-Official-6.0.2.7.ODIN.zip and flash it via Odin
Tip : Don't forget to kill Kies in task manager and open Odin as Admin

Wow that's new for me...
Try with Odin 3.07. I don't know this will work. And here is the Touch version of CWM : http://goo.im/devs/Darkman/Recoverys/Recovery-CWM-I8190-Official-TOUCH-6.0.2.7.ODIN.zip maybe this will work for you

I'll give it a shot... What is the difference, though, in the 'touch' version? I'm new to a lot of this stuff. Thanks!
CWM : this version don't support Touch control. So you have to navigate with vol up/down in the menus
CWM Touch : how the name already say, it support Touch control, it means you don't need to navigate with vol up/down and it also support "create zip image" this does backup your system as a flashable .zip.

And just so I can confirm how to properly boot into CWM:
I power down the phone and press VOLUME UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER, correct?
This is the method of how to boot into stock recovery but, as I understand it, if CWM is properly flashed it should take me to Clockworkmod INSTEAD of stock recovery. Am I correct?

This is vRoot, isn't it? Has this software been deemed safe now? I was going to use this but read that there were possible security issues that hadn't been addressed yet. There were fears that the CHinese were stealing IMEI numbers or stealing certain info. Is it OK to use now?
