[Q] non-functional i897 after flashing stock firmware

Hello,

I own two of these phones (galaxy i897), one is running cyanogenmod and I wanted it on the other. Just so you know up front
windows or linux will not detect the phone. (nothing will show in device manager, and in linux nothing showing with dmesg)
Odin stopped working while flashing stock firmware and the screen turned purple, the battery was removed after this and you know the rest.

Is a JTAG cable or the 'UnBrickable Mod' the only option left to recover the phone?

Can u get into Download mode by the button combo or a Jig ? (If u wanna make a jig or buy one, see my signature link below if u r on a pc or in a web browser).
