[Q] Nook HD+, Stock + Gapps SD Card Boot

I have used the information provided by leapinjar to put a CWM on an SD card and install Play store to stock.

My card is 32gb. My question is, is there anyway to bypass the Nook booting into Cyanogen and get it to go straight into the home screen when the SD card is in the NOOK.

The reason I want to do this is because I also want to use the rest of my 32Gb card for storage and I frequently shut down the Nook at the end of the day. I am finding that I have to constantly take out the SD card, let it boot up and then put it back in. Is there anyway around this?

Also unrelated: I am new to Nook. I have noticed sometimes that my Nook glitches and it is like the screen is being pressed randomly but I am no where near it. I have to sometimes reboot it to get it to work again. Is this common? Or do I probably have a faulty device?

Thanks in advance.

There is not an easy way to have it reboot to stock. The best thing is to get a smaller cheap card for the CWM and use it only for that. Then you can reuse your 32GB card for SD storage.

And the problem with the glitches is fingerprints. Just use a cloth or tissue to wipe down the screen when it does that.

Ok thank you very much for the reply. I was also looking at installing CM10 but I am a bit overwelmed by the discussions on this and cannot seem to find an easy install of it.

Do I need to be running linux for a proper install of CM10 + GAPPs? Is there anywhere I can find a tutorial with what to install and how to do it?

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately on the HD+ there currently is no easy way to do it if you have windows. It is simple with a Mac or Linux. If you have some patience I am about to publish a new system of installing CM10 that will be easier for Windows users.

That's great. I don't mind installing it using a VM Ubuntu. I have this installed on my laptop. If you can point me in the right direction that would be great, otherwise I will wait until you publish your update.

Thanks

Follow the instructions in the HD+ CM10 SD thread. The only hard part is getting the CM10 rom on the sdcard partition the first time you install. And that is easy with Linux. Just copy it to the partition.
