my work history as is

Explain more what you wiped, and how it behaves when booting.

Sent from my Nook HD+ running CM10.1 on emmc.
My story as is.

A day ago. I flashed recovery.zip for emmc, and cm 10.1 and gapps . it was unstable. so I decide to re-flashing for stable.

So I reboot (maybe twrp) recovery on emmc(press "n" 4 seconds without bootable sdcard ) wiped data factory reset and formatted every directory from /bootdata to /emmc( At this time, do not remember well, but it used to go / emmc, / boot data, the / factory format from recovery.)

and reboot with twrp recovery on sdcard flashing cm10.1 and recovery.zip(twrp) on emmc

when reboot nook wihtout sdcard I saw only twrp recovery menu, it can't boot to cm10.1

so I reflashing 2.0.0.stock rom with cwm sdcard and formatted every partition. and flashing 2.0.0 stock.zip

therefore. my nook is almost dead

Now, I booted up my nook. it boot with NOOK logo and start blue bar Under NOOK logo

1/4 slovw start the rest 3/4 very fast go by.

after all. I read "install failed" visit nook.com/support message.

How can I do?

First off, never format every partition available. Some of those have vital information that cannot be retrieved. I don't know which partitions TWRP lets you format, but if you formatted /factory and /rom you destroyed your vital data.

I maybe can get it so you can boot CM on emmc or SD, but you will never be able to run stock again.

PM me with your serial number and I will make you a custom zip that may get you going, but no guarantees.

Hi confusedazn, please let me know how you fixed it. Or anyone on this topic who can help, I have the same problem. I installed verygreen's emmc successfully after purchase of the hd+ but have to bring it back to store because of hardware defects, bad backlighting and several dead pixels. I was trying to restore a backup of the stock rom from sd card (based on e-mote's dummies post), but was corrupt since it showed md5 mismatch. So I tried restoring from leapinlar's stock files. Before doing so, I stupidly, wiped all /emmc to /bootdata, all of them I can't remember the sequence. Now it boots only to CWM recovery no matter what I do. Can I still use this device?

Use the CWM recovery to flash the stock recovery back to internal memory. It should then boot to stock recovery and repair itself. Get the stock recovery zip in my HD/HD+ CWM thread, item 5.

I just want to thank leapinlar for this post, I was able to restore the HD+ back to the 2.1 B&N stock. When my hd+ kept on booting to only the cwm recovery screen, I thought that I had bricked it and needed a complicated restore such as needing to have a unique serial no. etc. Thanks to you. At first, I was able to restore the CM10.1 then tried again to restore to stock, this time installed the downloaded files to internal memory, then did the advanced restore -> restore. From then a long wait, then booted twice by itself until the stock os appeared.

Only thing is it seems a little bit sluggish (web page loading, multiple touch input) compared to when I first used it (before installing cm10.1), maybe it's just my unit. I'm happy though and thanks for leapinlar, verygreen, and e.mote...

I have a very similiar problem as the original poster.

I have a Nook HD not an HD+ but this thread basically describes my problem so i'm posting this here.

I had CM 10.1 installed on my Nook HD (emmc) and then I went into CWM and accidentally formatted /data. After that my Nook HD doesn't boot up, just stays stuck rebooting forever or I can go into CWM.

I have tried flashing CM 10.1 again but doesn't work. I had an original backup of the stock rom but whenever I try to flash it I get the message that /data or boot data could not be mounted.

Please help me with this problem, it's driving me insane!
___________________________________________________________________________

EDIT

I have no clue how or why but suddenly the Nook HD booted into the rom properly and everything is working now. Maybe after the billionth time that I tried flashing it it worked?

The Mod can delete this post now, or keep it if he thinks it might be relevant to the original post

Sounds like you need to go back to stock. Go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature and look at item 6. I have a link there for a plain stock 2.1.0 for the HD. Download and flash that. It should take you back to plain stock and plain stock recovery. That may work. Be sure to factory reset before you reboot after flashing it.

I think I brick my NOOK HD+ today by same way. First, I flashed the wrong CM rom to the NOOK HD+, so it won't start. After I found it. I tried to reset the whole thing and format everything one by one including /bootdata, /system, /cache, /emmc and /data. Now I know of course the NOOK won't start. I also tried to restore the NOOK HD+ by my backup of stock rom. All the flashing process went no problem, but the NOOK HD+ won't start. Now I can't see anything when I start the HD+ without SD card. The only thing I can do is boot by emmc CWM SD card. Do I still have hope? or the nook is gone....

Thanks for sharing those useful information.
Please don't double post the same request in two threads. I answered you in the other post.

Hello everybody. I have a Nook HD+ that had CM 10.1.3 loaded on it and was working fine. My son was playing same games on it and it rebooted on him and went directly into the CWM recovery screen. I tried reflashing CM but every time it reboots it goes right into recovery. One this I did noticed under the mounts section is that EMMC shows unmounted and it wont let me mount it. Does this mean my Nook is bricked?

Not necessarily. Go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature and read item 10, recovery bootloops.

Nook HD+ Unable to Boot

I have the Nook HD+ and had the 10.1.3 CM running fine for months. Last night I updated to 10.2 and did not like it so I tried to revert back to 10.1.3. During that I accidentally wiped the cache partition and was stuck in a boot loop. I was able to get the factory reset to reinstall and am now stock but when I try to reinstall 10.1.3 CM with clockworkmod like before and it will get stuck in the bootloob. Can anyone help??

Explain what you mean by a bootloop.

On start up it would show the n logo then cyanobootlader then back to n and continue until it booted to clockwork recovery. I would then try to zip the cm 10.1 and show it went thru and on reboot same thing. I was able to flash the stock rom that you posted #6 on your tips. Now it's back to stock but if I try to install cwm and cm it will take cwm but not the cm 10.1 and go back to boot loop.

Do you have a good zip of CM10.1? Could be a bad download.
