I love my note 8, after flashing many roms on it i find that when i reset my rom by flashing it back to a factory state by odin my tablet has a lot of lag and just seems that bit slower whereas if i reset it by a firmware upgrade by samsung kies it runs and is perfect, i have downloaded the original firmware several times either on sam mobile site or samsungs site and using the correct odin, so really can anyone tell me if there a difference in each of the ways i have stated.

I donno. I have used Odin 3.7 and found no lag with its operation compared to Kies. Custom ROMs are slower than stock because they have been De-odexed.

You can odex a custom ROM to make it smooth, which I have done with Civato's ROM.
