[ShieldPortable] Is it ok to keep charger plugged in 24/7? I don't want to damage the battery and I don't intend to always have the charger in but it would be nice to keep it charging while i'm home so that when I'm on the go its full charged.
I use it all day and would like to always have it completely charged so if I decide to take it with me I can have it at 100%I charge it over night.
I guess you answered my question. How many hours of on screen time do you get?I use it as a home console and have it sitting on shelf in living room, plugged via HDMI to TV and plugged into the charger, which is plugged into a surge protector. For safety reasons, I am switching the surge protector off at night and switch it on when I want to power on the TV. I do this for 2 months now, the SHIELD portable gets power from the charger for an average of maybe 10 hours a day, no problems met so far.
I do recommend you do this only with the charger it came with or with a charger with the same output voltage and amperage.
Since it never leaves the charger, I get infinite screen on time.I guess you answered my question. How many hours of on screen time do you get?
Got it. Can you take it off the charger when you have time and maybe get on grid or any intensive application/game and see how much on screen time you get. Perhaps also using full brightness. If you can I would appreciate it.Since it never leaves the charger, I get infinite screen on time.
I'm sorry to turn you down, but I am at a busy schedule currently and therefore have no time for such testing.Got it. Sweet thats ultimately what I needed to know. Thanks.I'm sorry to turn you down, but I am at a busy schedule currently and therefore have no time for such testing.
Nevertheless I do believe battery life is not an issue on this device.
