Hi guys,
I have the i9500 S4 (firmware I9500XXUAMDE) and I've noticed people talking about an 53.8mb OTA update (I9500XXUAMDK), which my phone hasn't received yet. It says "The latest updates have already been installed" when I check. I tried KIES but it says my firmware is up-to-date too. Is the OTA update dependent on my mobile service provider at all (I'm using a different SIM, rather than my provider's), or is it supposed to get it's OTA updates direct from Samsung? I hear the updates are rolling out region by region. If this is the case, would it make a difference flashing, say, the Indian firmware on my South African S4 (if I were impatient enough to root with intent to flash)?
Thanks in advance.
