A different kernel could be a fix.

Your battery could be bad.

Just a couple ideas.

Give some more details about when it heats up, what you are doing that might cause it, what rom you are using, etc..

Also whatever you do, dont flash a partial firmware that someone is likely to suggest. Its more risky than lijely to help.

Sent from a rebel ship by storing the message in an R2 unit. (Help me, XDA. You're my only hope)

Yeah, I had this issue too, and a new kernel could be the problem/solution, but, having said that, my XE had the same problem. Took it back to 02, said it was the motherboard.
  • A new battery? If the battery is overheating that could be the source of the problem.
  • A bad kernel could also be doing this. Have you flashed a standard Sensation kernel? That is only 1.2GHz, which might lead to problems with a 1.5GHz processor. Try this XE kernel: http://bit.ly/Ifvc8a
  • If all else fails, take it back to stock rom (if it isn't already) and take it back to the shop you bought it from.
If I helped, hit the "Thanks" button! :D
