Two days ago, I got this notification, "Import Books. Please wait for a moment...." and it is still there till now. I thought it was about importing the books that I recently purchased through Nook, and I deleted all my Nook books, uninstalled the app. And after that, when I stopped the Reader service, the notification disappeared. However, once I restart my Flyer, the "Import books. Please wait for a moment...." comes and stays there forever. Any clue what's going on? Thanks.

Are you guys using fastboot? Like the device boots up in 3 seconds?

If you are, Hold Power button and select reboot. It will clear caches, fixed my problems.

Even if you do a full restart, the notification keeps coming back. Rubbish. You can't even uninstall the app, as it's part of the HTC suite of pre-installed apps.

Anyone got any idea how to make it go away?

Check your library. Are you getting multiple copies of the books? It happened to me two days ago, but it stopped and loaded multiple copies of my books. Try going to the folder your books are installed in and deleting them right from there. See if that makes a difference.

hi all...had same problem...to fix it..well worked for me..i deleted just the cache and did a force close on app reader...and did a normal restart...to do this if you dont know..goto setting...applications....manager applications..pick all...find the Reader App....in the setting for Reader click clear Cache and then force close.....icon should be gone..then restart Flyer if you want...

Just clear the cache as everyone else has already said. Just cosigning. Oh yeah u might have to clear data as well if that doesn't work out but it should work after you clear the cache.
